Bio:

Darcie Brown, hailing from a sporting family, showcased her versatility by participating in high-level competitions in Basketball, Cricket, Netball, Australian Rules Football, and Tennis by her mid-teens.

Her international cricket debut came in March 2021. In the domestic circuit, she plays for South Australia Scorpions in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL). Across all three formats internationally, she has taken one five-wicket haul, as of 2024.

In T20 Internationals, Brown debuted on March 30, 2021, against New Zealand during Australia’s tour of New Zealand at Napier. In her impressive debut, she took a wicket. As of 2024, she has taken over 25 wickets in T20Is.

In One Day Internationals, she made her debut on April 10, 2021, against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui. By 2024, she has picked over 20 wickets in ODIs.

In Tests, Brown debuted on September 30, 2021, against India during their tour of Australia at Carrara. On February 15, 2024, she claimed her first international five-wicket haul with figures of 5/21 against South Africa during their tour of Australia at Perth. As of 2024, she has taken over 9 wickets in Tests.

In franchise cricket, Brown signed her first deal with the Adelaide Strikers in October 2019 at just 16, becoming the club’s youngest player, male or female. Her performances earned her the WBBL|06 Young Gun award, given to the tournament’s best player under 21. She also recorded a hat-trick against the Brisbane Heat on October 24, 2021. As of 2024, she has taken over 49 wickets in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).
