Bio:
While her international debut came in June 2022, her cricketing journey began much earlier. At Hoërskool Menlopark school, Tucker sharpened her skills in both hockey and cricket, eventually choosing to focus on the latter. She impressed with her all-round performance for the South Africa Emerging squad against Zimbabwe in 2021, helping them secure a dominant lead in the series. This success was followed by another selection for the Emerging squad during Thailand’s tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe later that year.
Tucker’s dedication and talent translated into a dream come true in May 2022. Her stellar domestic season, where she scored over 400 runs and bagged 15 wickets, earned her a maiden call-up to the national team for their tour of Ireland. She made her WODI debut in June 2022, though she didn’t get a chance to bat or bowl in that match. However, her perseverance paid off as she secured a spot in the WT20I squad and made her debut later in July against England. Further solidifying her position as a promising player, Tucker was also selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games cricket tournament.
