Nilakshi de Silva is a Sri Lankan cricketer known for her contributions to the national women’s team as a right-arm slow-medium bowler and middle-order batter.
Making her T20I debut against West Indies at Colombo on March 07, 2013, she debuted in One Day International in 2015 against New Zealand. She has featured in various international tournaments, including the ICC Champions Trophy and the Women’s T20 World Cup. Despite de Silva facing challenges in batting consistency, she has demonstrated her potential with the ball, particularly highlighted by her performance in the 2018 Women’s T20 Asia Cup with notable performances such as being the leading wicket-taker for Sri Lanka in the tournament with 7 wickets in 5 matches.
