Bio:

Sadaf Shamas, a right-handed batter with a passion for runs, has quickly become a name to watch in Pakistan cricket. Sadaf sharpened her skills playing for domestic teams like Lahore Women and Amazons. Her talent was noticed, and in May 2022, she was called up to the national squad for the WODI series against Sri Lanka. While she did not play in that series, the experience likely provided valuable lessons.

Sadaf’s international debut finally arrived in November 2022, in the WODI series against Ireland at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. A few months later, in January 2023, an opportunity arose when teammate Diana Baig suffered a finger injury. Sadaf was selected as her replacement for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Stepping onto the field against cricketing giants like Australia for her WT20I debut at North Sydney Oval must have been a learning opportunity. Despite the team’s overall performance, Sadaf’s knock against England in the World Cup stood out. Her quickfire 35 runs off just 21 balls showcased her clean hitting and ability to handle pressure.
