Sita Rana Magar, born on March 05, 1992, is a formidable batting all-rounder representing Nepal. She commenced her international career on January 12, 2019, against China during the Thailand Women’s T20 Smash in Bangkok. In that memorable debut match, she showcased her skills by finishing her bowling spell with figures of 1/9 and contributing a vital unbeaten 24 runs from 25 deliveries, leading her team to victory while chasing a modest target of 48 runs.
Since her debut, Magar has been a stalwart of the Nepalese team, featuring in 53 T20 International Matches. She has amassed a total of 863 runs with the bat and has proven her prowess with the ball by claiming 50 wickets. As a result, she now holds the record for the Most career runs and Most career wickets for Nepal in T20Is.
Among her standout performances, her highest score of 82 not out, achieved against Qatar during the Nepal Women’s tour of Qatar in Doha on November 18, 2021, stands out. Additionally, her best bowling figures of 5/16, earned against Hong Kong during the Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series in Kuala Lumpur on August 22, 2023, not only showcased her bowling prowess but also earned her the prestigious Player of the Match award.
