Rubina Chhetry, born on November 26, 1993, currently leads the charge as the captain of the Nepal Women’s Team. She began her international journey on January 12, 2019, against China during the Thailand Women’s T20 Smash in Bangkok.
Since her debut, Chhetry has been a pivotal figure in the Nepal Team, featuring in 55 T20 International Matches. With the bat, she has amassed a total of 741 runs, showcasing her ability. Furthermore, her bowling prowess has been equally impressive, with 42 wickets to her name.
Her highest score of an unbeaten 118, achieved in just 59 deliveries against Maldives on February 13, 2024, during the Asian Cricket Council Women’s Premier Cup held in Bangi, not only stands as her personal best but also as the highest score for Nepal. This outstanding performance earned her the coveted Player of the Match award. Additionally, her best bowling figures of 4/2, attained against Indonesia on January 18, 2019, during the Semi-Final of the Thailand Women’s T20 Smash in Bangkok, once again earned her the Player of the Match honor.
One of the highlights of her career came in 2019, when she scripted history by taking Nepal’s first hat-trick in a Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) against Kuwait.
