Half a decade ago, if you had spoken to Titas, you wouldn’t have known she would grow up to earn accolades for the Indian Cricket Team. Despite scoring 93% in her boards, she was also a talented sprinter and swimmer. At the age of 13, she applied for State trials but was rejected. However, this incident did not diminish Titas’s grit and determination. She kept pushing herself and was able to generate pace and swing like no other at her age. Finally, she was selected for the senior Bengal team at just 16!

Titas Sadhu was awarded the “Best Emerging Player” title in the year 2023 for her exceptional performance in domestic cricket leagues. She made her international debut against Bangladesh in the Asian Games in a semi-final, picking up a wicket. She was also part of the Delhi Capitals’ squad in the first edition of the Women’s Premier League. However, she did play for the Capitals’ side in the second edition, featuring in four matches and picking three wickets.
