Mega Market Mountaineers, led by skipper Pellagia Mujaji, were up against Eagles, led by skipper Christabel Chatonzwa, and Rhinos, led by skipper Ashley Munatswa, and the Tuskers, led by skipper Nomvelo Sibanda, were up against Eagles and Zimbabwe Under-19, led by skipper Lorraine Pemhiwa, on the 3rd day of the ongoing edition of the Zimbabwe Women’s T20 Cup 2026. Match 9: Mega Market Mountaineers Vs Eagles: Chipo Mugeri Tiripano, Bowlers Shine to give Mountaineers a comfortable win

Mountaineers had the opportunity to put the runs on the board. A 43-run stand for the 2nd wicket between skipper Pellagia Mujaji (14 off 28 balls) and Chipo Mugeri Tiripano, followed by another crucial unbeaten 54-run partnership for the 3rd wicket between Shalom Mandovha (8* off 19 balls) and Chipo Mugeri Tiripano (78* off 68 balls), registering an impressive half-century, took them to a decent total of 123/2 in their quota of 20 overs. Olinda Chare (4-0-18-1) was the only wicket-taker with the ball for Eagles. Mitchel Mavunga (4-0-19-0) was impressive with the ball for her side.

Chasing a target of 124, the Eagles were restricted to 106/6 in their quota of 20 overs, falling 17 runs short of the target. The 32-run opening stand between Betty Mangachena (14 off 23 balls) and skipper Christabel Chatonzwa (27 off 31 balls) was the highest partnership of the run chase. Mitchel Mavunga (21 off 15 balls) played her part with the bat for Eagles. Nyasha Gwanzura (4-0-25-2), Tawana Matandauri (4-0-15-1), Audrey Mazvishaya (4-0-19-1), and Kudzai Chigora (4-0-20-1) were the top performers with the ball for Mega Market Mountaineers. Chipo Mugeri Tiripano was awarded the Player of the Match.

Match 10: Tuskers Vs Zimbabwe Under-19: Loreen Tshuma and skipper Nomvelo Sibanda star as Tuskers dominate Zimbabwe Under-19

Tuskers got the opportunity to bat first. The Tuskers openers Loryn Phiri (19 off 20 balls) and Lindrose Masina (32 off 30 balls) set up a solid platform with a 48-run opening stand. The Tuskers batters stitched decent partnerships throughout the innings. The Tuskers posted a solid total of 149/6 in their quota of 20 overs.

Loreen Tshuma (45* off 30 balls) and the wicket-keeper batter Chiedza Dhururu (20 off 12 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Tuskers. Tadiwanashe Garutsa (4-0-34-2), Salem Museka (4-1-23-1), Tawananyasha Zvomarima (4-0-19-0), and Beloved Biza (3.2-0-24-1) were the top performers with the ball for Zimbabwe Under-19.

Chasing a challenging total of 150, Zimbabwe Under-19 were bundled out for 102, with 19 balls to spare, falling 47 runs short of the target. Christina Mutasa (27 off 20 balls), Naomi Mhlekwa (22 off 23 balls), and skipper Lorraine Pemhiwa (12 off 10 balls) were the only batters to enter the double digits with the bat for Zimbabwe Under-19. The Tuskers batting unit struggled after having the opportunity to put the runs on the board. The Tuskers lost half their side in the 11th over of the innings. Thubelihle Saidi (11 off 16 balls) joined the wicket-keeper batter Chiedza Dhururu (29 off 36 balls) at the crease, and the duo stitched a much-needed 26-run stand for the 6th wicket. It was followed by another vital unbeaten 26-run stand for the 8th wicket between skipper Nomvelo Sibanda (15* off 12 balls) and Gracious Nsingo (12* off 14 balls), which took them to 115/7 in their quota of 20 overs, falling 10 runs short of the target. Loreen Tshuma (10 off 6 balls) played her part with the bat for Tuskers.

Precious Marange (4-0-18-3), Olinda Chare (4-0-17-1), and Mitchel Mavunga (4-0-20-1) were the top performers with the ball for Eagles. Chasing a target of 116, the Eagles were bundled out for 105, with 5 balls to spare. Skipper Christabel Chatonzwa (36 off 36 balls) and Runyararo Pasipanodya (13 off 15 balls) were the only batters to enter the double digits with the bat for Eagles. There were as many as 21 extras in the innings. Match 12: Mega Market Mountaineers Vs Rhinos: Nyasha Gwanzura’s All-round show powers Mountaineers to a dominant win.

Mega Market Mountaineers got the opportunity to bat first. Mountaineers ‘ top order, consisting of the likes of Chipo Mugeri Tiripano (17 off 20 balls) alongside Nyasha Gwanzura, formed a crucial 54-run opening stand; it was followed by another crucial 56-run stand for the 2nd wicket between Cathrine Chitombo (14 off 27 balls) and Nyasha Gwanzura (78 off 36 balls), which took them past the 100-run mark.

The Mountaineers posted a massive total of 164/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Skipper Pellagia Mujaji (26 off 20 balls) and Passionate Munorwei (10 off 6 balls) played a crucial role with the bat for the Mountaineers. Vimbai Kavava (4-0-13-3), Natalie Chikandinga (2-1-19-1), Kelly Ndiraya (3-0-22-1), and Kay Ndiraya (4-0-35-1) were the top performers with the ball for Rhinos.

Chasing a massive total of 165, the Rhinos just managed 123/4 in their quota of 20 overs, falling 41 runs short of the target. The 53-run partnership for the 3rd wicket between Josephine Nkomo (22 off 25 balls) and the wicket-keeper batter Melinda Kachingwe (50 off 52 balls) was the highest partnership of the run chase.
