Born in Vadodara, Yastika Bhatia is a left-handed batter known for her ability to build innings. She made an initial impact in domestic cricket at the age of 17, smashing her maiden hundred (131 off 156 balls for Baroda U19 against Maharashtra U19) in Aurangabad during the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy 2017/18.
Yastika made her international debut during India’s 2021-22 tour of Australia, debuting in all three formats on that tour. Recognizing her potential and talent, Mumbai Indians secured her in the first edition of the Women’s Premier League. In her short international career, Yastika has already made significant contributions to the Indian women’s cricket team. She was part of the Indian squad for the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup, where she showcased her talent with the bat. One of her standout performances came against Bangladesh in the 2022 World Cup, where she scored a crucial half-century.
In addition to her batting and wicket keeping skills, Yastika is known for her athleticism and sharp reflexes on the field.
