Deepika Rasangika, born on December 13, 1983, boasts a rich cricketing career marked by her contributions to both Sri Lanka and Bahrain on the international stage.

Having represented the Sri Lanka women’s cricket team from 2008 to 2014, Rasangika accumulated invaluable experience across more than 60 matches. In 2017, she crossed the shores to Bahrain after accepting a coaching role at a local cricket academy. Embracing her new journey, she donned the Bahrain jersey for the first time on March 20, 2022, at Al Amerat against Oman during the GCC Women’s Twenty20 Championship Cup.

Since her debut for Bahrain, Rasangika has showcased her all-round prowess in 16 T20 International Matches, amassing a total of 506 runs and claiming 8 wickets. Notably, her monumental innings of 161* against Saudi Arabia at the GCC Women’s Twenty20 Championship Cup 2022 etched her name in the record books, making her the first Bahraini cricketer to achieve a century in WT20Is. This remarkable feat is now the second-highest individual score in a WT20I.
