The Isle of Man have announced a 13-player squad for the upcoming ECN Women’s Continental Cup 2026, which will be played in T20 format at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Bucharest, Romania, from 26 to 30 August. The Isle of Man Women’s side will be among eight participating nations at the tournament, with Norway, the defending champions from 2025, also returning to the competition.

The Isle of Man women’s national cricket team will compete in Group B alongside hosts Romania, Norway and Greece. The group stage will follow a round-robin format, allowing each team to test itself against all three opponents before the tournament moves into the knockout phase. The top sides will then progress to the semi-finals, with the finalists battling for the Continental Cup crown.
Isle of Man Women’s Squad:
Lucy Barnett, Izzy Clarke, Grace Cottier, Clare Crowe, Chloe Dillon, Georgie Ford, Amelia Griffiths, Jo Hicks, Libby Moore, Rachel Overman, Maisie Skillan, Alanya Thorpe, and Anna Wilson.
With a blend of experience and emerging talent, Isle of Man will aim to make a strong impression in a competitive eight-team field. The tournament also offers the team an opportunity to build on its proud record in the competition. The Isle of Man were previous winners in August 2023, when they secured the silverware with a commanding nine-wicket victory over Greece.
Norway enter the 2026 edition as the reigning champions after lifting the trophy in 2025, while the Czech Republic, Turkey, Romania, Guernsey, Austria and Greece complete the tournament line-up alongside the Isle of Man. The broad international representation is expected to produce a closely fought contest, with every match carrying significance in the race to reach the knockout stages.
For the Isle of Man, the campaign will begin in Group B against opponents familiar with the demands of developing women’s cricket in Europe. Playing in a compact T20 tournament, the team will need consistency with both bat and ball, while adapting quickly to conditions at the Bucharest venue.
The 2026 Continental Cup could therefore prove an important occasion for the Isle of Man women. After their title-winning campaign in 2023, Isle of Man will return to the tournament with renewed ambition, hoping their 13-player squad can once again carry the team deep into the competition and challenge for European silverware.
