Under new skipper Ashleigh Gardner, the Sixers secured second place on the points table with 13 points from 10 games, six victories, three defeats, and one washout, but fell short in the Challenger match, losing by 11 runs to Sophie Devine’s Perth Scorchers at North Sydney Oval on December 11, 2025.

With Brown staying, the Sixers aim to challenge for the title next season, especially after Hobart Hurricanes, led by Elyse Villani, clinched their maiden WBBL crown by defeating the Scorchers by eight wickets in the final at Bellerive Oval on December 13.

In WBBL 11, Brown proved her worth as a genuine all-round asset for the Sixers, scoring 104 runs at a strike rate of 111.82 and an average of 13 across nine innings. Her bowling was equally impactful, claiming 13 wickets at an average of 22.15 and an economy of 7.32 in 10 innings, finishing as the team’s second-highest wicket-taker of the season.

Brown’s WBBL journey began with Melbourne Renegades on December 10, 2016, against Adelaide Strikers at North Sydney Oval. In 59 matches and 33 innings with the bat, she amassed 220 runs at a strike rate of 102.8 and an average of 10. On the bowling front, she snared 44 wickets at an average of 26.65 and an economy of 6.84 across 55 innings, laying a solid foundation for her all-round prowess.

Since switching to Sydney Sixers in 2021, debuting against Melbourne Stars on October 14 at Hobart, Brown has elevated her game. In 55 matches and 44 innings with the bat, she has scored 508 runs at a strike rate of 114.15 and an average of 15.39. With the ball, she has taken 41 wickets at an average of 24.02 and an economy of 7.49 in 40 innings across those 55 matches.

Cumulatively in the WBBL, across 114 matches, Brown boasts 728 runs at a strike rate of 110.47 and an average of 13.23 in 77 innings, plus 85 wickets at an average of 25.38 and an economy of 7.12 in 95 innings. This extension signals Brown’s deep commitment to the Sixers’ vision under Gardner, blending her experience with youthful energy to chase WBBL glory.
