After defeating the Binita Pun-led Nepal by 85 runs in the 5th game of the Blind Women’s T20 World Cup on 14th November 2025, India featured in a consecutive fixture as they were up against the USA, led by skipper Abey, in the 6th match of the tournament at the Samprasiddhi Sports Estadio, Bengaluru, on 15th November (Saturday).

The Deepika TC-led side was eager to continue the winning momentum, while the USA were looking to register their first win of the tournament. The Abey-led side had an ideal start to the contest, with the coin toss flipped in the visitors’ favour, and she opted to put the runs on the board. The onus was on the USA batting department to maximise the scoring in their bid to be able to pose a challenge against a strong Indian unit.
However, it just wasn’t to be for the USA batters as an impeccable display in the field backed up by the new-ball bowlers had the USA in all sorts of trouble at 7/4, losing their top-order inside the first four overs of the innings. The Indian unit was charged up, and all over the USA side, by the time Caroline joined Tatyana at the crease.
The duo, tasked with bailing their side out of troubled waters, showed some resilience and character, with a much-needed 30-run partnership for the 5th wicket. It took another moment of brilliance in the field from the Indian skipper, Deepika TC, to put an end to the fightback, by sending Caroline (12 off 26 balls) back to the pavilion in the 10th over of the innings to provide the crucial 5th breakthrough for India.
Another crucial 19-run partnership for the 6th wicket, between Malibu and Tatyana, took the total past the 50-run mark. Simranjeet Kour cleaned up Malibu in the 16th over of the innings to provide the 6th breakthrough for her side. The wheels came off after her departure as the USA just managed 60/8 in their quota of 20 overs.
Tatyana (17 off 41 balls) top-scored with the bat for the USA and was the only other batter apart from Caroline to enter the double digits with the bat for her side. The extras column read as 26, which also proved to be crucial for the USA as they crossed the 50-run mark.
Vice-captain Ganga Kadam (2-1-1-1) was exceptional with the ball for India. Simranjeet Kour (2-0-4-1), Sunita Srathe (2-0-4-1), Simu Das (2-0-10-1), and Jamuna Rani Tudu (4-0-17-0) were impressive with the ball for their side.
The new Indian opening pair of Simranjeet Kour (31* off 12 balls, with 4 boundaries) and Kavya N R (21* off 12 balls, with 3 boundaries) teed off ruthlessly, making the light work of the run chase as they cruised over the line with 10 wickets in hand, taking down the total in just 3.3 overs, leaving the remaining 16.3 overs unutilised.
Simranjeet Kour delivered a decisive all-round impact, returning with match figures (2-0-4-1) with the ball and scoring an unbeaten 31* (12 balls) with the bat to guide India over the line. As a result, she was rightly named the Player of the Match.
