With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 fast approaching, these shifts highlight several players hitting top form at the perfect time.

South Africa’s Tazmin Brits has made the most remarkable leap, soaring 15 places to sixth with 669 rating points. Brits announced herself with a commanding 101 runs off 121 balls in her first ODI against Pakistan, followed by a spectacular 171 from 141 balls in the second ODI. Her impressive 2025 average of 91.85 and strike rate of 94.14 reflect her consistency and match-winning ability. Brits’ rise has been meteoric, considering she was ranked 73rd just two years ago in September 2023.
Pakistan’s Sidra Ameen climbed 10 places to 13th after a highly productive series against South Africa, scoring 121 runs off 150 balls in the first ODI, 122 from 110 balls in the second, and an unbeaten 50 off 94 balls in the third match. Her steady stroke plays and ability to anchor innings significantly contributed to her career-high rating of 636 points.
India’s Smriti Mandhana maintains her place at the top of the batting charts with a career-best rating of 818 points. Mandhana’s flawless form featured scores of 58 runs off 63 balls in the first ODI against Australia, a brilliant 117 off 91 balls in the second, and an authoritative 125 in the third, reinforcing her position as the globe’s leading batter.
Australia’s Beth Mooney has risen two spots to third, holding 727 points, grounded by a consistent series: 77 off 74 balls in the first ODI and a commanding 138 in the third. Another rising star, Australia’s Georgia Voll, has climbed 28 places to 61st, sparked by an impactful innings of 81 runs off 68 balls in the third ODI versus India.

Australia’s Tahlia McGrath has climbed nine places to 30th, credited to her steady bowling returns including one wicket each in the first two ODIs and another in the third.
Bowlers Rankings
India’s Deepti Sharma advanced two spots to fifth place with 651 points following decisive two-wicket hauls in the second and third ODIs against Australia. Young Indian bowler Kranti Gaud also impressed, climbing 23 spots to 39th in the rankings, taking one wicket in the first ODI, three in the second, and one in the third.
South Africa’s Ayabonga Khaka moved up three places to 15th, taking two wickets in the opening ODI against Pakistan, asserting her vital role in the bowling lineup. England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to dominate the bowler rankings, holding first place convincingly with 795 rating points and an 85-point lead over her closest competitor.
With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 set to take place in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, the players highlighted by these ranking shifts are expected to be key contenders.
Current ICC ODI rankings showcase Smriti Mandhana of India as the top batter, followed closely by England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and Australia’s Beth Mooney in third place.
