Ellyse Perry suffers injury, out of WBBL for up to 3 weeks

It’s a piece of heartbreaking news for WBBL and especially Sydney Sixers fans! Australia’s in-form all-rounder and Sydney Sixers’ star skipper, Ellyse Perry suffered a shoulder injury in the match against Sydney Thunders on Sunday and is temporarily ruled out of WBBL.

Trying to protect a six hit from Courtney Webb’s bat, Ellyse landed heavily on her right shoulder, sparking a scare of a serious injury. Thankfully, she’ll be out for a relatively short time of 3 weeks as the injury she suffered is a low grade one to her AC joint. She is expected to make a comeback in the final game of the Women’s Big Bash League, Cricket Australia said.

Ellyse has been in superb form this season with 469 runs on board, sitting at the 2nd position of the league runs tally and making and breaking a couple of records

The WBBL finals will take place between December 6 and 8 and will be hosted by the team that sits on the top of the table by the end of the stage.
