The excitement of women’s cricket is back in St. Kitts as the Women’s Super50 Cup is set to unfold from February 24 to March 7, 2025. This prestigious tournament, hosted by Cricket West Indies (CWI), not only showcases the Caribbean’s finest female cricket talent but also serves as a pivotal preparation for an important international calendar ahead.

The tournament will take place across three premier venues namely, Warner Park, Conaree Cricket Centre and St. Paul’s Sports Complex. Matches will commence daily at 10 AM promising an action-packed start to the day for the fans.
Jamaica enters the tournament as the defending champions after a stellar performance in the previous edition of the tournament in a round-robin format. They will face a tough challenge from a formidable lineup of fixtures in their campaign, consisting of Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force, Guyana, Windward Islands, and Leeward Islands.
This year’s Super50 Cup is particularly significant, marking crucial preparation for the West Indies women’s team. Following their recent ODI and T20I series victories against Bangladesh, the upcoming tournament aims to display the skill and depth of women’s cricket in the Caribbean, especially as the ODI World Cup approaches.
Miles Bascombe, CWI’s Director of Cricket, voiced his enthusiasm, emphasizing the tournament as a celebration of the growth and potential of women’s cricket in the region. He believes that the event will be a showcase of the phenomenal talent emerging across the Caribbean. The previous edition of the Women’s Super50 Cup showcased extraordinary performances that highlighted the competitive nature of women’s cricket in the region.

Guyana’s Ashmini Munisar claimed impressive bowling figures of 5/15 against Trinidad and Tobago, asserting their status as serious contenders. Notable performances included Jannillea Glasgow’s impactful innings of 62 for the Windward Islands and Chinelle Henry’s exceptional bowling performance (6/31) for Jamaica.
