The West Indian women’s team, led by skipper Hayley Matthews, hosted Bangladesh, led by skipper Nigar Sultana Joty for their maiden white-ball bilateral series that included a three-match ODI series followed by a three-match T20I series from 19th January 2025 to 1st February 2025. The home side clinched the ODI series (2-1) and inflicted a white wash in the T20I series.
The West Indies Women have a busy schedule ahead, filled with opportunities to hone their skills and build momentum for the World Cup.
Road to the ODI World Cup 2025:
The Hayley Matthews-led side is gearing up for the upcoming edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, which will be hosted by India. However, they would have to navigate through the World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan from the 4th to the 19th of April 2025. Six teams will battle for two coveted spots in the World Cup Qualifier. The West Indies will face tough competition from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, and Thailand.
West Indies tour of England:
Following the qualifiers, the women in maroon will embark on a full white-ball tour of England, which will feature three T20Is followed by a three-match ODI series. Their tour kicks off with the 1st of three T20Is on May 21, 2025, at Country Ground, Derby, and concludes with the 3rd and final ODI, on June 8, in Taunton.

Historic home series against South Africa:
After the conclusion of the white-ball series against England, the West Indian team will return home to host South Africa for a historic white-ball series which will include a three-match ODI series followed by a three-match T20I series from 11th to 23rd June 2025. It will mark the first instance when the venue 3Ws Oval, in Barbados, will stage an international series.
