Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues shares a heartfelt post on Instagram following her stint with the Brisbane Heat in the recently concluded tenth edition of the Women’s Big Bash League.

Jemimah, who recently represented the Brisbane Heat in the tenth edition of WBBL reflected on her journey with the side through an Instagram post. Her caption on the post captured the essence and the emotions she went through after what had been a challenging period as well as an excessive cricket schedule for the 24-year-old.

Jemimah began the caption referring to her first picture which perfectly sums up her entire time and journey with the Brisbane heat.

The Indian batter revealed the challenges she went through after the 2024 T20 World Cup, where India had an ordinary outing, failing to qualify for the knockouts. “And after the World Cup loss I wasn’t in the best headspace to play the game I love the most,” admitted Jemimah.

However, Jemimah shared the uplifting change that she saw in herself after facing mental challenges through a setback in a tournament like the World Cup. She expressed how being part of the Brisbane Heat reignited her affection towards the game.

Jemimah wrote,” But being a part of this team helped me fall in love with the game again”. She echoed the positive energy and welcoming atmosphere she felt after joining the side.

Representing Brisbane Heat, Jemimah Rodrigues has enjoyed her time both on & off the field. With the bat, she scored 267 runs in 10 innings averaging 33, which also includes a vital knock of 43* runs against the Sydney Thunder in the Challenger before she retired hurt.

Jemimah Rodrigues also reflected on the Brisbane Heat’s encouragement and the support they showed to unlock the fearless approach of the Jemimah Rodrigues. She shared, “Everyone here was so positive and helped me unlock a potential in me that I didn’t know I had.” The Change in approach of Jemimah’s batting was evident as the right-handed batter scored 267 runs striking close to 140.

Jemimah’s post displayed the genuine affection and gratitude she had toward her teammates and the team. She also highlighted losing the final didn’t hurt her the most as she valued the experience she gained with the side. The Sophie Molineux-led Melbourne Renegades clinched their maiden title after beating Brisbane Heat in the 10th edition of the WBBL final.
