Every Women’s T20 Asia Cup Host Country and Venue From 2012 to 2026

The Women’s T20 Asia Cup has been played in different countries since the tournament moved to the T20 format in 2012. China, Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have hosted the competition across the five editions played so far. India Women have won the title three times, while Bangladesh Women and Sri Lanka Women have won it once each. The 2026 edition will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates, with Dubai set to stage all the matches at one venue.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2012 – China

China hosted the first Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2012, when the tournament was played in the T20 format for the first time. India Women won the title in this opening T20 edition of the competition. The matches were played at the Guanggong International Cricket Stadium in Guangzhou. China became the first country to host the Women’s Asia Cup after it moved to the T20 format. India Women also began their record in the T20 Asia Cup with a title win in the same edition.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2016 – Thailand

Thailand hosted the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2016, with the matches played at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok. India Women won the tournament again and retained the title they had won in the first T20 edition in 2012. Thailand became the second country to host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup after China. India’s victory gave them their second title in the T20 format. The 2016 edition was another title-winning campaign for India Women in the tournament.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2018 – Malaysia

Malaysia hosted the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2018, with the tournament played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Bangladesh Women won the title in this edition, ending India Women’s run of two straight T20 Asia Cup titles. Bangladesh Women became the winners after India had lifted the trophy in both 2012 and 2016. Malaysia became the third country to host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup after China and Thailand. The 2018 edition gave Bangladesh Women their first title in the T20 format of the tournament.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 – Bangladesh

Bangladesh hosted the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2022, with the tournament played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. India Women won the title and added another trophy to their T20 Asia Cup record. It was India Women’s third title in the T20 format after their earlier wins in 2012 and 2016. Bangladesh became the fourth country to host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup. The tournament was played in Bangladesh after the previous edition had been held in Malaysia in 2018.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 – Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka hosted the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2024, with the matches played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla. Sri Lanka Women won the title after defeating India Women by eight wickets in the final. It was Sri Lanka Women’s first Women’s Asia Cup title. Sri Lanka became the fifth country to host the tournament since it moved to the T20 format in 2012. The 2024 edition gave Sri Lanka Women their first title in the competition.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 – United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates will host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in 2026, with Dubai as the host city. The tournament will be held from August 28 to September 13, 2026. All the matches are scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The competition will be played in the T20 International format, with matches starting at 6:30 PM local time. The winner is TBD, as the 2026 tournament is yet to be played.

The 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup will be the sixth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup played in the T20 format. Group A includes India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong and China, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia. All matches are scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. The tournament will begin on August 28 and continue until September 13, 2026.
