The Indian women’s cricket team is going from strength to strength. Having won the T20I series against South Africa women 3-1, they now move to the ODI series to be played with the Proteas women at Baroda.
The 6th T20I between India and South Africa marked a special day for India captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Harman became the first Indian to play 100 T20Is for the country. To mark this special occasion, she was given a special cap by coach W.V. Raman.
It was indeed a significant achievement for Kaur to have played 100 T20Is for India and to celebrate this milestone for her, teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Harleen Deol made up a rap song for the captain.
Young batter Jemimah took up to twitter to congratulate Harmanpreet. She uploaded a video that showed fellow teammate Harleen Deol and herself singing a rap song for Harman. Rhyming Kaur with ‘Thor’, the two girls made a beautiful song dedicated to their T20 captain.
“Congratulations on your 100th T20i cap @ImHarmanpreet Here’s a small tribute for you from Big Harry ft. Lil’ J #HarmanpreetThor “, Jemimah captioned.
Wearing cool shades and holding pretend microphones, Jemimah and Harleen look like two rockstars delivering the rap. Watch out the video here –

Harmanpreet in return appreciated the sweet gesture of her teammates. She retweeted the video with a message – “Thank you little ones
It indeed is a pleasure to have you all do this for me.”
South African player Mignon du Preez also seemed to be amused by the video. Though not able to understand the Hindi words, she nonetheless appreciated the same.
😂 Have no idea what it means, but a pretty special gesture😁
