Lauren Down and Mikaela Greig return as New Zealand announce squad for their upcoming white-ball tour to England.
The New Zealand Women’s team led by skipper Sophie Devine hosted England led by skipper Heather Knight for a five-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series in March-April this year. England clinched both the white-ball series, claiming the T20I series by a 4-1 margin and the ODI series by 2-1 margin.
This time, it’s the other way around as England led by skipper Heather Knight will host New Zealand led by skipper Sophie Devine for a white-ball series that includes a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series. The series will commence on 26th June 2024 and will conclude on 17th July 2024. The New Zealand Women’s team have announced their squad for their upcoming tour to England.

The 29-year-old batter Lauren Down returns to the White Ferns squad after a maternity leave. She last played in an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup warm-up match against England in Cape Town, South Africa. Since then she has been away from the game to become a first-time mother. “We’re really pleased to have Lauren back in the White Ferns. She’s been working hard over the past four months to get herself into a position where she feels confident to play, and this tour feels like the right time to bring her back into the fold.” White Ferns head coach Ben Sawyer speaks about Lauren Down’s return to the squad and her hard work behind the scenes.
The 29-year-old batter Mikaela Greig recently made her International debut on 19th March 2024 in a T20I against England. She has returned to the squad for the white-ball series against England.
