Mumbai’s Rizvi College led by skipper Tushi Shah were all set to face Delhi’s Gargi College in the final on 1st June 2024 (Saturday). Tushi Shah-led Rizvi College were crowned as champions of the tournament for the third time in four editions in a low-scoring thriller at the DY Patil University Ground in Navi Mumbai.

Gargi College won the toss and opted to bat first. The Gargi College batting line-up failed to back up their skipper’s call to bat first, as they were restricted to 84/9 in their quota of overs. Jyoti Yadav was the lone warrior for Gargi College, adding a crucial 35 runs to the team’s total. Kashish Nirmal (3/11) and Nirmiti Rane (2/22) were the top performers with the ball for Rizvi College.

Chasing a target of 85, the Rizvi College openers Shraddha Shetty and skipper Tushi Shah got their side off to a flying start, scoring over 10 runs an over in the first three overs of the run chase. However, Gargi College bounced back with a spirited effort to make Mumbai’s Rizvi College work hard for each run. Rizvi College managed to hold their nerve to eventually seal the run chase comfortably by six wickets in hand and 35 balls to spare to claim their third Red Bull Campus Cricket title in four editions of the tournament so far.

Zeal D’Mello (18*), and Shraddha Shetty (18), were the top performers with the bat for Mumbai’s Rizvi College. Jyoti Yadav (1/9) was the top performer with the ball for Gargi College. Kashish Nirmal was awarded the Player of the Match for her brilliant match-winning spell (3/11) with the ball in the final, playing a crucial role in helping Mumbai’s Rizvi College to the championship title celebrating Red Bull’s 13th year anniversary in India.
