Zimbabwe claimed the ODI and the T20I series against Papua New Guinea

Zimbabwe led by skipper Marry-Anne Musonda hosted Papua New Guinea led by skipper Brenda Tau for a limited-overs series that included a three-match ODI series followed by a three-match T20I series.

Zimbabwe whitewashed Papua New Guinea (3-0) in the ODI series. Zimbabwe clinched the first T20I by eight wickets in the 1st T20I. Papua New Guinea led by skipper Brenda Tau bounced back and clinched the 2nd T20I to register a historic, their maiden victory in International cricket defeating Zimbabwe in the super over by one run to level the series.

Courtesy of their victory in the 2nd T20I, the series went into a decider in the 3rd T20I. However, Papua New Guinea failed to repeat their performance in the 2nd T20I as they went on to lose the 3rd T20I. The Papua New Guinea skipper Brenda Tau won the toss and opted to field first. After being inserted to bat first, losing a couple of wickets in quick succession. Vicky Buruka provided the first breakthrough for Papua New Guinea. She also provided the 2nd breakthrough for her side.

Skipper Marry-Anne Musonda joined Chipo Mugeri Tiripano at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 25-run partnership for the 3rd wicket before Henao Thomas picked up the big wicket of the opposition skipper Marry-Anne Musonda to provide the 3rd breakthrough for Zimbabwe. Kelis Ndhlovu joined Chipo Mugeri Tiripano at the crease and the duo stitched a massive 79-run partnership for the 4th wicket before Kelis Ndhlovu was found short of her crease to provide the 4th breakthrough for Papua New Guinea.

Zimbabwe eventually ended up with a total of 136/6 in their quota of overs. Chipo Mugeri Tiripano (66 off 59 balls), Kelis Ndhlovu (35 off 32 balls), and skipper Mary-Anne Musonda (24 off 16 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Zimbabwe. Vicky Buruka (4-0-28-2), Henao Thomas (4-0-20-1) were the top performers with the ball for Papua New Guinea.

Chasing a target of 137, Papua New Guinea got off to a poor start, losing their opening batter Sibona Jimmy in the 1st over of the run chase. Tanya Ruma joined Naoani Vare at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 62-run partnership for the 2nd wicket before Lindokuhle Mabhero picked up the wicket of Naoani Vare to provide the 2nd breakthrough for Zimbabwe. Papua New Guinea were eventually restricted to 104/4 in their quota of overs, falling 32 runs short of the target. Tanya Ruma (56 off 59 balls) stayed unbeaten throughout the innings, alongside Naoani Vare (20 off 45 balls), and Pauke Siaka (12 off 11 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Papua New Guinea.

Lindokuhle Mabhero (4-0-12-1), and Josephine Nkomo (4-0-16-1) were the top performers with the ball for Zimbabwe. Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano was awarded the Player of the Match for her brilliant performance (66 off 59 balls) with the bat, playing a crucial role in helping her side clinch the three-match T20I series with a 32-run victory in the 3rd T20I.
