Laura Wolvaardt the South African captain scored a scintillating century against Sri Lanka becoming only the 3rd South African to score a 100 in Women’s T20Is. Laura Wolvaardt scored 102(63) in which she could hit 12 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 161.90. She shared the 2nd highest 2nd wicket partnership with Marizanne Kapp for South Africa in Women T20Is of 116 runs. Laura helped the South African team to post a huge total of 198/5(20 overs) which is the second-highest for South Africa in Women’s T20Is after 205/1. Laura Wolvaardt was also adjudged as the player of the match for her innings of 102 runs.
Lizelle Lee:
Lizelle Lee the aggressive South African Opener scored a T20 World Cup 100 against the Thailand Women’s team scoring 101(60) hitting 16 fours and 3 sixes in the whole innings. She became the 1st South African to score a 100 in the Women’s T20 World Cup. She alongside her 100 made the highest 2nd wicket partnership for South Africa with Sune Luus of 131 runs. With the help of this partnership South Africa was able to post a total of 195/3(20 overs) which was then the 2nd highest score for South Africa in Women’s T20Is and won the match by a huge margin of 113 runs in which Lizelle Lee was adjudged player of the match

Shandre Fritz was the 2nd player to score a 100 in the Women’s T20I on the 14th of October, 2010 against the Netherlands after Deandra Dottin of West Indies who scored the 1st ever 100 just months ago in the same year. Shandre Fritz scored 116*(71) in the ICC Women’s Cricket Twenty20 Challenge 2010/11. She had an opening partnership with Trisha Chetty of 170 runs, the highest partnership for any wicket in Women T20Is later broken in 2018 by Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates with a partnership of 182 runs. Shandre Fritz in her innings of 116* runs scored hit 12 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 163.38. In the same match, South Africa recorded its highest score in Women’s T20Is of 205/1(20 overs) which still stands to be the highest ever score for South Africa in T20Is.
