Shafali Verma scores 80% in 12th Board Exam, fans surprised with her marksheet

Shafali Verma, a rising star in Indian cricket, has made headlines once again, this time for her impressive academic achievements. Despite her busy schedule as a cricketer, Shafali has managed to clear her Class 12th board exams with great grades. The batter known for her aggressive batting style, took to her Instagram handle to share her mark sheet with fans.

The talented cricketer hailing from Haryana has made a significant impact on the Indian cricketing scene. Despite being only 17 years old, she has already represented India in 79 matches since making her international debut in 2019.

Earlier this year, Shafali made history by becoming the first captain to lead the Indian team to victory in the inaugural Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. In addition to her achievements in international cricket, she has also played a pivotal role in helping her franchise, Delhi Capitals, reach the finals of the Women’s Premier League.

Shafali’s impressive performance on the cricket field began when she made her international debut against South Africa at the tender age of 15. From the outset, she was recognized as one of India’s future stars, and so far, she has lived up to high expectations. In T20I matches, she has scored an impressive 1333 runs at a strike rate of 132.11, while also contributing 531 runs in 21 ODI matches.

Shafali’s success in the academic arena comes on the heels of her stellar performance in the cricketing world. At the beginning of the year, she led India’s U-19 team to victory in the T20 World Cup, where she ended up as the third-highest run-getter. The Indian team outplayed England by 7 wickets in the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup final in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

After her impressive run in the U-19 World Cup, Shafali was drafted into the Indian senior team for the T20 World Cup in South Africa, where she put up a strong performance that helped the team reach the semi-finals. Her batting prowess did not go unnoticed, as she was subsequently roped in by Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore in the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League. In the league, Shafali amassed 252 runs in 9 matches with a remarkable strike rate of 185.29.

Despite her busy schedule as a cricketer, Shafali managed to balance her academics and her passion for cricket. In her Instagram post, she expressed her joy at having passed her board exams, stating that she was now eager to focus on her favorite subject – cricket.
