Veda Krishnamurthy and Arjun Hoysala ties knot

“Mr and Mrs”, read, Indian cricketer, Veda Krishnamurthy’s caption below her Instagram post sharing pictures from her private courtroom affair in Bengaluru with Karnataka state cricketer, Arjun Hoysala. For the special day in her life, the 30-year-old chose a special day on her late mother’s birth anniversary.

In September 2022, Veda Krishnamurthy announced her relationship with cricketer, Arjun Hoysala sharing pictures from their engagement, and fast-forward to the 12th of January, 2023, the lovebirds registered their marriage. Veda shared pictures from the courtroom affair, captioned, “Mr and Mrs!!! This one’s for you Amma your birthday will remain special always love you Akka #justmarried 12.01.23 #newlife #wedding,”

Veda Krishnamurthy lost her mother in April 2021 to Covid, and the unfortunate repeated as lighting struck twice and the cricketer in almost 2 weeks lost her elder sister Vatsala Shivkumar, 42, who was battling her struggle with Covid.

The 30-year-old, when appeared on Wednesdays with WV (Raman) revealed the decision to officially tie the knot on the weekly show on Sportstar.

“I want to register my wedding on January 12 which is my mom’s birthday. I want that day to be special and always connected to me. This falls in a month where you’re not supposed to exchange garlands or conduct auspicious events or we would have had the proper wedding on this date. But going forward, when we celebrate anniversaries, it will be on this day.”

The 30-year-old all-rounder has represented India in 48 ODIs and 76 T20Is. In 41 One-Day International (ODI) innings, she scored 829 runs at an average of 25.90, a strike rate of 76.90 and with 8 half-centuries got the best score of 71. In 63 Twenty20 International (T20I) innings, scored 875 runs and with a couple of half-centuries got the best score of 57*. Veda’s last registered India game had come back in 2020 during India’s final in the Australia T20 World Cup.

Arjun Hoysala made his first-class debut for Karnataka in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season. The right-hand batter has featured in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) and his last recorded competitive game came in the Karnataka Premier League 2019 season against Bengaluru Tigers.
