The right-handed top-order batter of Australia Women’s U19 hit the first half-century of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup when she took on Bangladesh in the tournament opener. She struck seven boundaries in her innings of 52 that came off 51 balls. She paced her innings exceedingly well.
The right-arm speedster of Australia Women’s U19 was the pick of the bowlers in her last match against Bangladesh Women’s U19. She claimed 9/2 in two overs, accounting for both the scalps in the 11th over. Besides being the most successful bowler, she was the most economical one.
The right-handed middle-order batter of the USA Women’s U19 top-scored with 22 off 23 in her last fixture against Sri Lanka Women’s U19. She hit three boundaries in her fighting innings. She also bowled three overs of right-arm off-spin and conceded 30 runs.
The wily right-arm off-spinner of the USA Women’s U19 was the standout bowler for her side in her last appearance against Sri Lanka Women’s U19. She scalped 17/2 in four overs, striking in the ninth and 11th overs. Coming into bowl as the first change, she was effective in the middle phase of the innings.
It will be the fourth game of the tournament here, with the third being played early in the day. The teams batting second won both matches played on January 14. The wicket is flat and is likely to generate plenty of runs. The spinners could play a vital role in the latter half of the match.
