India squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 & Tri-series Announced, Shikha Pandey in

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has announced 15 member squad along with 3 reserve players for the upcoming mega-global event i.e ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Also, the squad for the upcoming tri-series involving West Indies and South Africa is announced.

The Indian fans are greeted with a surprise in Shikha Pandey’s inclusion in the Indian side. Shikha Pandey last played her T20 International on July 03, 2021. After a gap of more than 17 months, Shikha has been called for the all-important tri-series and ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

India will kick start their World Cup campaign on 12th February against the arch-rivals Pakistan in Cape Town. Team India is part of Group 2 and is clubbed with England, West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland. The top two teams in each group at the end of the group stage will play in the semi-finals. The final will be held on 26th February 2023.
