This is the 11th edition of the Red Bull Campus Cricket. While this tournament has seen men’s teams locking horns against each other all through these years, this has just been the second year when women’s matches have been played. Tournaments like the Red Bull Campus Cricket help in promoting college cricket in India and also encourage the youngsters to showcase their skills at the all-India level. Such a national level competition provides a good platform for the cricketers to take their game to the next level.
The 2022 Red Bull Campus Cricket finals is just around the corner with a total of 12 teams locking horns against each other to win the coveted championship.
A total of 174 players will feature in the final leg of the Red Bull Campus Cricket. The average age of players participating in the tournament has been 21 and there have been 29 teenagers. Players playing this tournament in the past have made it to the higher level as some of them have represented their state teams while some of them have gone on to play for India. For instance, 27 players have represented their state teams in the age group cricket (U16 to U25), 12 players have played for their state Ranji teams and other domestic tournaments, two players have represented India Men’s U19 and one player has played for India Women in the T20I format.
A tournament like the Red Bull Campus Cricket can help in the smooth transition of players from youth cricket to international cricket. Players like Ayushi Soni from Delhi, who played for India in T20Is is the classic example of what a tournament like Red Bull Campus Cricket is capable of achieving.
Coming back to this edition of the Red Bull Campus Cricket, 12 teams have qualified for the last leg of the tournament. Out of the 12 teams, eight teams are from the men’s category and four from the women’s category.
The four women’s teams are JMC College in Delhi from the North Zone, Dr. MGR Janki College in Chennai from the South Zone, Marwari College in Ranchi from the East Zone and Rizvi College in Mumbai from the West Zone.

Schedule of Semi-Finals and Finals
These four teams will play the semi-finals on June 10 at Mullanpur Stadium in Punjab. The first semi-final will be played at 9AM and the second semi-final will be played at 1PM. The finals of the Red Bull Campus Cricket 2022 will be played on June 11 at the PCA Mohali Stadium at 1PM.
