Earlier this year, in a stint in English domestic cricket, she accumulated 346 runs and picked up as many as 16 wickets, with bests of 102 and 3/35. She has matured in her role and can be counted on for the goods.

Jess Jonassen

The 31-year-old all-rounder, in One Day Internationals, from 92 outings, has scalped 141 wickets at an economy rate of 3.98, while from 49 innings, she has added 610 runs to the tally. Last season, from 4 WNCL games, she scalped 7 wickets and added 81 runs to the tally. Now sidelined from the national team, Jess would want to make this a big season by consistently stepping up with all-round efforts.

Tahlia Wilson

The 24-year-old all-rounder, at an average of 31.41, amassed 377 runs from 12 WNCL appearances last season and capped off the season with a century. Leading up to this summer, Tahlia notched up consecutive scores of 50, 53*, and 39 in Twenty20s against India A. Notably, she averaged 39.83 in the 2022-23 season and can be relied upon to lead the scoring, being consistent over the seasons.

Lauren Cheatle

The 25-year-old left-arm pacer, averaging 15.45 and maintaining an economy rate of 4.11, bagged 11 wickets from 5 WNCL matches in the previous WNCL edition, missing a few games in the back end to undergo a medical procedure. Fit-again Lauren returned for The Hundred and bagged 7 wickets from as many outings. Especially upfront with the new ball, she will be banked upon for breakthroughs.

Pitch:

Allan Border Field dishes out a balanced center wicket with a slight advantage for bowlers over batters, as evidenced by a modest average score in the 210s. The conditions will see pacers holding an advantage at the venue.
