The 24-year-old all-rounder amassed 392 runs from 12 WNCL outings in the 2023-24 season and registered the highest of 96*, while not having a bowl. Courtney averaged 39.20 last season and 54.00 the one before, remaining consistent over the past seasons. Leading up to this season, she had a notable stint in English domestic cricket, and it is hoped she finds her best form early this campaign.

Amanda Jade Wellington

The 27-year-old all-rounder, from 12 WNCL appearances last summer, posted 304 runs on the board at an average of 38.00 and claimed 19 wickets with an economy rate of 4.62. Katie Mack

The 31-year-old opening batter, at an average of 47.10, racked up 471 runs from 12 outings in the competition last summer and registered the highest of 140*. Katie carried the momentum into the 2024 English domestic season, scoring 324 runs from 9 One Dayers, and extending this purple patch, notched up scores of 129 and 68 against India A last month. She can be banked upon for the runs.

Anesu Mushangwe

The 28-year-old leg-spinner struck 11 wickets from 10 WNCL games in the last edition, maintaining an economy rate of 4.68, and produced her season best of 3/37 in the last game. Anesu, the talented leg-spinner, shifted base from South Australia to the Meteors this season, and the team will expect her to lead the wicket tally, consistently producing breakthroughs and chipping in with runs.

Pitch:

Karen Rolton Oval has traditionally dished high-scoring wickets that are slightly more advantageous to batters over bowlers, and it is expected to be no different this season. Pacers also benefit from the conditions, and a score in the 240s will be a competitive one.

Weather:

It will be a bright sunny day in Adelaide, with the temperature expected to hover in the early 20s (°C), light winds, and 41% humidity. With a clear forecast, we are in for a complete game of cricket.
