Players to watch out:

Naomi Stalenberg

The 30-year-old all-rounder, in a recently concluded T20 competition, posted 153 runs from 8 innings at a strike rate of 114.17, without bowling. In the first leg of the WNCL season, Naomi posted 149 runs at an average of 37.25 from 4 outings. Given her recent form, consistently being among the runs, she will be relied upon to lead the scoring and to produce wickets if given the opportunity to bowl.

Nicola Carey

The 31-year-old all-rounder amassed 228 runs at a strike rate of 115.73 and took 12 wickets at an economy rate of 8.24 from 11 T20 outings. In the first leg of the WNCL fixtures, from 4 outings, Nicola amassed 125 runs at an average of 31.25 and took 8 wickets at an economy rate of 5.46. She is a seasoned campaigner and can be relied upon for all-round efforts, continuing in her form.

Tahlia Wilson

The 25-year-old keeper-batter didn’t find much success in a recent T20 campaign, posting only 115 runs from 11 innings. However, she was a standout in the first leg of the WNCL fixtures. Tahlia posted 125 runs at an average of 31.25 from 4 One Dayers this season, and it is hoped she rediscovers her footing after a quiet T20 season, stepping up her efforts and leading the scoring for her side.

Sam Bates

The 29-year-old left-arm off-spinner excelled in a recent T20 competition, bagging 20 wickets from 12 outings, averaging 13.45 and maintaining an economy rate of 6.35. Sam had an ordinary outing in the 1st leg of the WNCL fixtures, taking 5 wickets from 4 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 3.21. However, she’ll be backed to translate this into the One Dayers, producing breakthroughs.

Pitch:

The 22 yards at Bellerive Oval provide a somewhat neutral wicket, but the conditions are slightly advantageous to batters over bowlers. Spinners, in particular, benefit from the conditions, and a score in the 240s can be considered competitive on this wicket.

Weather:

The conditions in Hobart are forecasted to be pleasant for cricket, with no anticipated rain despite cloudy skies. The temperature will be around 19°C, with light winds and humidity at 53%.
