Players to watch

Georgia Redmayne:

The left-handed opening batter and wicket-keeper of Brisbane Heat top-scored in her last game against Sydney Sixers. The southpaw smashed 49 off 39, including half a dozen boundaries. Behind the stumps, she had a good day, too, as she accounted for two stumpings.

Jess Kerr:

The right-arm medium-pace bowler of Brisbane Heat was one of the most successful bowlers for her team in her last appearance against Sydney Sixers. She opened the bowling and claimed 17/2 in four overs, striking in the first over of the innings. She was also the most economical bowler in the team.

Alice Capsey:

The teenage sensation from England, who will feature for Melbourne Stars, has taken the world by storm thanks to her batting exploits. She is a right-handed top-order batter and an occasional right-arm off-spinner. In her 10 T20Is, she has muscled 234 runs at a strike rate of 128.

Annabel Sutherland:

She is an Australian all-rounder who will play for Melbourne Stars. A right-handed middle-order batter and a right-arm speedster, she has been playing international cricket since 2020. She has played all three game formats in her brief international career and has shown much promise.

Pitch

It will be the tournament’s third match at the venue, with the second game being played early in the day. In the first match that was played here, more than 280 runs were scored. 14 wickets fell in the process. The wicket is expected to aid the batters. However, the game will be played under lights, which may help the bowlers, especially the faster ones.

Weather

The weather is expected to be delightful, with sunshine and patchy clouds. The highest temperature attained during the day will be 28 degrees Celsius. There will be a 25 percent cloud cover and an 11 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the east.
