Players to watch
The West Indian all-rounder will be a vital cog in the Adelaide Strikers’ line-up. She is an attacking right-handed opening batter and more than a handy gentle, medium-pace bowler. With 127 T20Is under her belt, she has plundered 2697 runs and accounted for 62 wickets.
The captain of Adeliade Strikers is a promising all-rounder from Australia. She is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Arguably touted as the next Ellyse Perry, McGrath has taken giant strides in her brief international career. She has scored 375 runs and picked up 12 wickets in 14 T20Is.
The captain of Sydney Sixers led from the front as she bagged the player of the match award for her match-winning contributions with bat and ball in her last game against Brisbane Heat. The right-handed top-order batter muscled 55 off 48 and scalped 27/2 in four overs to guide her team to a four-wicket win.
The right-arm speedster of Sydney Sixers was the pick of the bowlers in her last appearance against Brisbane Heat. She claimed 20/3 in three overs, including two wickets in the 20th over. She bowled well in the middle and death overs. She hit the winning runs with the bat by hammering a six off the first ball she faced.
It will be the second match of the tournament at the venue. In the last game, more than 280 runs were scored. 14 wickets fell in the process. The wicket is expected to be batting-friendly, offering tons of runs. Expect another run feast at the venue.
The weather is expected to be delightful, with sunshine and patchy clouds. The highest temperature attained during the day will be 28 degrees Celsius. There will be a 25 percent cloud cover and an 11 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the east.
