Toss – Won by Sydney Thunder Women and elected to bowl first

1st Innings Summary – Danielle Wyatt and Sophine Molineux did 41-run opening partnership before the latter got out in 6th over. Then, Wyatt was joined by Melbourne Renegades skipper, Amy Satterthwaite and both played sensible cricket before Amy got bowled out by Rachel Trenaman on the first ball of 12th over. Third vital partnership took place between Danielle and Jessica Duffin. The bowlers did a commendable job by displaying a disciplined show and giving away just four extra runs. Balinda Vakarrewa bowled exceptionally well as she gave away just fourteen runs in three overs.

2nd Innings Summary – Sydney Thunder Women made a slow start and lost both of their openers in the batting powerplay. Despite getting start, Rachel Priest failed to convert it once again. Number four batter Alex Blackwell came to the team’s rescue, accelerated the run-rate after 10th over and made unbeaten 66 off 48 balls. Middle-order batter and last game’s Player of the match Nicole Carey provided full support to her skipper on the other end. Blackwell hit a six as the winning shot on the first ball of 20th over and finished off the match in style.
