1st Innings Summary – In-form batter Alyssa Healy along with captain Ellyse Perry gave a solid start to Sydney Sixers as the scoreboard read 68-0 at the end of eight over. Being the only economical bowler at the moment, Piepa Cheatle was put back into attack in ninth over and she proved her captain’s trust right by taking Healy’s wicket on the very first ball of her second spell. But there was no stopping for Perry as she was joined by another in-form batter, Ashleigh Gardner and both the hitters enjoyed playing their shots for next eleven overs. Even though Gardner got out in last over but she had done her job till then.
2nd Innings Summary – Skipper Meg Lanning took the responsibility of run-chase on her shoulders, batted brilliantly and made 76 runs off which 48 runs came from 4s and 6s. But she didn’t get enough support from the other end as a lot of confusion was seen between batters and Perth Scorchers lost three wickets to run-outs. In the desperation of making runs players made mistakes and threw away their wickets at crucial junctures. Dane van Niekerk showed example of how good fielder she is and thus adds to the advantage of her team. Lauren Cheatle was the most economical as well as most successful bowler for Sydney Sixers.
Player of the match – Ellyse Perry. The day belonged to Perry as she made 80* runs in just 54 balls, took two wickets in two balls, did one run-out and took one catch also.

Result – Sydney Sixers Women won by 32 runs
