1st Innings Summary – Three dots, 6, 4 and out!!! This is how Brisbane Heat Women started their batting innings. Opener Grace Harris was in too much hurry to play big shots and lost her wicket trying to hit another big shot but only to end up being caught by Tayla Vlaemmnick. Sammy-Jo Johnson played another quick innings of 31 runs in just 10 balls with strike sate shooting above 300 but was given LBW out on a beauty from Molly Strano. When all the bowlers were being hit freely all around the ground, Strano bowled an absolute stunning 12th over and took two wickets in the same over. Georgia Wreham was another economical bowler for Melbourne Renegades but since rest of the flock was being continuously exploited by the batters, Brisbane Heat built a huge and highly competitive total.

2nd Innings Summary – Danielle Wyatt and Amy Satterthwaite laid a very strong foundation for their team as Melbourne Renegades were comfortably standing at 75/0 at the end of 9.4 overs. But after both the openers got out in quick succession, the team’s run rate fell and so does the wickets. Although, some intent was shown by Courtney Webb down the middle order but it was too late for the team to scale up to the required run rate.
