1st Innings Summary – Captain Elyse Villani and wicketkeeper opener Amy Ellen Jones played aggressively and built 77-run opening partnership to give a solid as well as quick start to Perth Scorchers. Even after Villani got out in 8th over, Amy continued her assault on bowlers as Nicole Bolton joined in. Kate Cross also made some valuable runs in the middle order down the line. Ellyse Perry, on the other hand, used eight bowlers in 20 overs innings and Dan van Niekerk became the most successful bowler taking three wickets in her quota of four overs.
