Hyderabad Cricket Association announces cash prizes for Under-23 women cricketers

Hyderabad cricket players have good news to hear. The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has decided to give cash awards to its young players. The board will dish out cash prizes to under-19 boys as well as to under-23 girls.

Currently, the domestic teams of India are engaged in various domestic competitions in the country. While there is Vijay Merchant Trophy going on for under-19 boys, the under-23 girls are playing Women’s Under 23 T20 Trophy. The Hyderabad teams in both disciplines have advanced to the next stages. The under-19 boys have topped the table in the South Zone while the women’s team has made it to the Super League stage.

Both the Hyderabad teams have made it to the Super League stages of their respective tournaments and to honor their qualification, the board announced prizes for the participating players. It will give Rs 10,000 to the players and support staff of the women’s team while the u-19 boys will get a sum of Rs 20,000.

This is a welcome gesture by the association which will definitely boost the motivation of the young players and will encourage them to perform better.

As reported by telanganatoday.com, HCA will also provide Rs 3 lakh as compensation to the family of deceased cricketer Veerender Naik who died while playing a match last week at Marredpally.
