Players to Watch
Madison Landsman:
The right-handed middle-order batter of South Africa Women’s U19 led the run chase from the front in her last match against Bangladesh. She scored 37 off 38, including three boundaries and a six. She is also a handy leg-spinner and has a hat trick in this tournament.
Kayla Reyneke:
The star all-rounder of South Africa Women’s U19 wreaked havoc with the ball in the last encounter against Bangladesh Women’s U19. The off-spinner scalped 19/4 in four overs and was effective in the middle and death overs. She is also a steady top-order batter.
Vishmi Gunarathne:
The captain of Sri Lanka Women’s U19 was the lone warrior in the fight with the bat for her side against India Women’s U19 in her last fixture. The right-handed top-order batter mustered 25 off 28, finding the fence twice. She will be expected to take the onus of her team’s batting.
Dewmi Vihanga:
The wily right-arm off-spinner of Sri Lanka Women’s U19 was the only wicket-taker for her side in the last encounter against India Women’s U19. She opened the bowling and claimed 34/3 in four overs. Besides her bowling, she is a good right-handed middle-order batter.
Pitch
It will be the 11th game of the competition at this venue. Out of the 10 matches played here till January 23, the teams batting first have won four, and the teams batting second have won six. The average first innings score is 104, and the average second innings score is 94. It seems to be a difficult track to bat on since the surface has undergone a lot of wear and tear over the course of the tournament.
Weather
The weather is expected to be mostly sunny and hot. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 34 degrees Celsius. There will be an 11 percent cloud cover and a one percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the northwest.
