The second match of the inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup will be played between Scotland and UAE on January 14 at Willowmoore Park B Field in Benoni, South Africa. The game will begin at 1.30 PM IST (10 AM LOCAL).
Both teams have played a couple of warm-up fixtures ahead of the World Cup. While Scotland beat the USA and lost to Sri Lanka in their warm-up clashes, UAE suffered defeats at the hands of the USA and Sri Lanka in their warm-up encounters.

The wicket-keeper and right-handed opening batter of Scotland Women’s U19 had a good outing in the first warm-up match against the USA Women’s U19. She scored 42 off as many balls and gave an excellent start to her team. She will be an integral part of Scotland’s batting.
In the two warm-up games in which this Scotland Women’s U19 off-spinner has featured, she has scalped four wickets. She has looked good in the middle phase of the innings. Besides her bowling, she is more than handy with the bat in the middle order.
The wicket-keeper and left-handed opening batter of UAE Women’s U19 is an experienced campaigner who has featured in 33 T20Is since her international debut in 2021. She has 823 runs, including six half-centuries, at a healthy strike rate of 110. She is also good behind the stumps with the gloves.
The talented all-rounder of UAE Women’s U19 is a right-handed middle-order batter and a right-arm speedster. She wreaked havoc with the ball in the warm-up clash against the USA Women’s U19, claiming a four-fer. Her all-round abilities will play a pivotal role in UAE’s success.
It will be the first game of the tournament here. Expect a new surface that could produce plenty of runs. The conditions look good for a perfect day of cricket. Given the morning start, the fast bowlers could get some assistance with the new ball.
