The Super Six, Group 1 match of the inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup will be played between Bangladesh and South Africa on January 21 at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The game will begin at 5.15 PM IST (1.45 PM LOCAL).

While Bangladesh topped Group A by beating Australia, USA, and Sri Lanka, South Africa were placed second in Group D, having won against UAE and Scotland, and lost to India.

The captain of Bangladesh Women’s U19 won the player of the match award in her last outing against USA Women’s U19. The right-arm speedster opened the bowling with Marufa Akter and scalped 13/2 in four overs, including one maiden. She also mustered 10 off 17, batting at number six.

The right-handed middle-order batter of Bangladesh Women’s U19 led the run chase from the front in her last game against USA Women’s U19. She muscled 22 off 14, hitting two boundaries and a six. She also rolled her arm over to bowl one over of leg spin and conceded four runs.

The talented all-rounder of South Africa Women’s U19 bagged the player of the match award in the last fixture against UAE Women’s U19. The wily right-arm off-spinner wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 11/4 in four overs, including one maiden. She also scored 11 off 13, batting at number five.

The swashbuckling right-handed opening batter of South Africa Women’s U19 top-scored with 27 off 29 in the last encounter against UAE Women’s U19. She peppered the boundary rope three times and laid a solid foundation, holding the innings together till the 12th over.
