Manudi Nanayakkara

The 17-year-old top-order batter has consistently been among the runs in U19 competitions, and in the recently concluded U19 Asia Cup, registered scores of 74*, 5, and 33. Manudi has carried this momentum into the World Cup, registering scores of 13(10) and 31*(26), while also taking a wicket, and can be relied upon to lead the scoring.

Sashini Gimhani

The 16-year-old left-arm spinner has scalped 6 wickets from 5 T20Is, at an economy rate of 5.53, with the best of 3/9. Sashini, in her only U19 Asia Cup outing, produced figures of 2/18 (4), and her returns from the warm-up games read 0/8 (1) and 2/31 (4). She is an exciting talent, and it will be hoped she has more to deliver with the ball, producing the wickets.

Pitch:

The Bayuemas Oval is a low-scoring venue that typically favors bowlers, both pacers and spinners. While the 22-yard strip has a somewhat neutral character, the average score remains in the 120s, indicating that it is a challenging venue for batters.
