Players to watch out:

Qiana Joseph

The 23-year-old all-rounder has had another good domestic season with both bat and ball. Capitalizing on her string of starts from the Super50 Cup, Qiana scored a 56(55) in the T20 opener but hasn’t scored a lot since. While with the ball, she has returned figures of 0/25 (3), 0/8 (4), and 1/21 (4). She’ll be counted on for the goods.

Amiah Gilbert

The 16-year-old off-spinner from three Super50 outings struck as many wickets, and in a couple of T20 appearances, has managed to leave a decent impression. Amiah, while finishing wicketless in the T20 opener, returned figures of 1/27 (4) in her most recent outing, and it’ll be hoped she makes the most of this form.

Shawnisha Hector

The 29-year-old all-rounder has impressed with the ball this domestic season, and while she was back amongst runs late in the Super50 Cup, she failed to carry the form into the T20 Blaze. However, Shawnisha’s bowling figures read 1/31, 1/10, and 2/16, and she will be backed to step up with an all-round effort.

Jahzara Claxton

The 18-year-old pacer didn’t find much success in the Super50 Cup, and following a few wicketless outings, in her most recent outing, she produced figures of 3/13, while also chipping in by scoring 25(36) in a recent game. Jahzara is a promising talent, and it’ll be hoped she extends this form till the business end.

Pitch:

The slow and dry center wicket at Warner Park offers favorable conditions for bowlers, especially spinners, leading to an average score in the 90s. Batters face challenges on this track but can convert their starts once they settle in.

Weather:

With partly cloudy skies and a minimal chance of rain, the conditions are ideal for a complete game of cricket in Basseterre. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 26°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 84%.
