Players to watch out:

LeeAnn Kirby

The 36-year-old all-rounder from 4 Blaze outings last summer managed only 36 runs but compensated with the ball, scalping 5 wickets. LeeAnn has kicked off her 2024 season on a high, accumulating 181 runs from 5 outings in the recently concluded One Day tournament. It’ll be hoped she continues with this form.

Samara Ramnath

The 16-year-old all-rounder in the 2023 Blaze didn’t contribute much with the bat, though picked up 5 wickets from as many outings. Samara in the 2024 Super50 Cup added 144 runs to the tally and also bagged 10 wickets from 5 games. She has been in notable form and will be counted on for the goods.

Shemaine Campbelle

The 31-year-old keeper-batter, averaging 35.33, managed 106 runs from 5 outings in the competition last edition. Shemaine led the batting unit in the recently concluded Super50 Cup, amassing 181 runs from 5 outings. Given the form she is in, it’ll be expected of the seasoned campaigner to contribute significantly.

Ashmini Munisar

The 20-year-old off-spinner, maintaining an economy rate of 3.31, scalped 6 wickets from 5 outings last edition. Notably, this summer, Ashmini finished with 12 wickets from 5 games, as the leading wicket-taker and will be backed to carry forward the momentum into the T20s, leading the tally.

Pitch:

The 22 yards at Warner Park offers a slow track that poses challenges for batters and provides an advantage to spinners. The average score of 115 indicates the demanding conditions and the need for careful batting on this pitch.

Weather:

Basseterre promises ideal conditions for a complete game of cricket with partly cloudy skies overhead. The temperature is expected to hover around 26°C with light winds and a humidity level of 86%.
