Iris Zwilling’s four-fer triumphs Darcey Carter’s all-round show as the Netherlands clinch back-to-back victories

Scotland skipper Abtaha Maqsood won the toss and opted to bat first. Priyanaz Chatterji joined Darcey Carter at the crease and the duo stitched a 34-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to take their side past the 50-run mark. Priyanaz Chatterji was found short of her crease to provide the 3rd breakthrough for the Netherlands. Megan McColl soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the fourth breakthrough for the Netherlands.

Lorna Jack joined Darcey Carter at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 72-run partnership for the 5th wicket to take their side close to the 150-run mark. Iris Zwilling came back and cleaned up Lorna Jack to provide the much-needed 5th breakthrough for her side. Scotland suffered a horrible collapse as they lost their last five wickets for just 32 runs. Scotland lost control of the game from a solid position courtesy of a collapse.

Scotland were eventually bundled out for 180, with 53 balls to spare. Darcey Carter (86 off 110 balls), Lorna Jack (34 off 35 balls), Abbi Aitken-Drummond (17 off 17 balls), and Priyanaz Chatterji (13 off 28 balls), were the top performers with the bat for Scotland. Iris Zwilling (8.1-31-4), Caroline de Lange (10-1-33-2), Silver Siegers (9-0-32-2), and Hannah Landheer (4-0-22-1), were the top performers with the ball for the Netherlands.

Caroline de Lange joined Frederique Overdijk at the crease and the duo stitched another crucial 31-run partnership for the 7th wicket to take their side close to the 150-run mark. Katherine Fraser cleaned up Frederique Overdijk to provide the 7th breakthrough for Scotland.

Eva Lynch joined Caroline de Lange at the crease and the duo took their side over the line with a 40-run eighth-wicket partnership. The Netherlands sealed the game by three wickets and 56 balls to spare. It is their 2nd victory of the ongoing tri-series.
