The 16th match of the Hundred will be played between Oval Invincibles and Welsh Fire on August 2 at Kennington Oval in London. While the Invincibles have won three out of their two games, Fire, on the other hand, have managed to win just one from their three outings. Players to watch out for
Dane van Niekerk (Oval Invincibles):
The South African all-rounder, who is the captain of the team is leading from the front with her big contributions with bat and ball. She is the highest run-getter for her side with 112 runs from three matches, at a strike rate of 114.28. The right arm leg spinner has also accounted for three wickets in as many games.
Tash Farrant (Oval Invincibles):
The English left arm seamer is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far with seven wickets from three matches. Her slow ball yorkers and other variations have caused trouble to the batters.
Hayley Matthews (Welsh Fire):
The West Indian all-rounder was the player of the match in her previous outing against Manchester Originals. Her unbeaten 71 powered the Fire to their first win of the tournament. She also bowls right-arm off-spin and has picked up two wickets in three innings.
Georgia Redmayne (Welsh Fire):
The Australian wicket-keeper bat is the second-highest run-scorer for the Fire. She has mustered 69 runs in three games, including the best of 38 not out. The top-order bat averages 34.50 and is a vital cog in the Fire’s batting line-up.
