Complete Squad Analysis of Trent Rockets : The Women’s Hundred

The Trent Rockets squad boasts of 15 strong members, including two players from Australia and one player each from New Zealand and Scotland. The other 11 players are from England, with three internationals and eight domestic stars.

Here’s a look at each of the 15 members of the squad:

Katherine Brunt: The 36-year-old is an English international who is the leader of the pace attack. The right arm seamer has featured in 92 T20Is and picked up 96 wickets at an economy of 5.53 and an average of 19.06.

Kathryn Bryce: The 23-year-old is a Scottish cricketer, who is a right-hand bat and right arm seamer.  In June 2021, she became the first cricketer for Scotland, male or female, to make it into the top ten of the ICC Player Rankings. In the 18 T20Is played so far, she has scored 496 runs and picked up 20 wickets.

Ella Claridge: She is an English domestic cricketer who is a wicket-keeper and a right-hand bat. She plays for Buckinghamshire.

Abigail Freeborn: The 24-year-old is an English domestic cricketer who plays for Leicestershire and Lightning, having previously represented Sussex and Yorkshire, as well as Loughborough Lightning in the Women’s Cricket Super League. She is a wicket-keeper and a right-hand bat.

Sarah Glenn: The 21-year-old is one of the youngest members of the squad. She is an English international cricketer who has played 21 T20Is. She is a right-arm leg spinner and a right-hand bat. She has scalped 29 wickets in 20 innings at an economy of 5.76 and an average of 13.65.

Heather Graham: The 24-year-old is an Australian cricketer who plays for Tasmanian Tigers and Perth Scorchers. In April 2019, Cricket Australia awarded her with a contract with the National Performance Squad ahead of the 2019–20 season. The right-hand bat and right-arm seamer was a part of the Australian squad for the West Indies series and Sri Lanka series, in which she made her ODI debut on 7 October 2019.

Teresa Graves: The 22-year-old is an English domestic cricketer who currently plays for Nottinghamshire and Lightning. Prior to this, she played for Yorkshire and was in the Yorkshire Diamonds squad in 2016 and 2017 for the Women’s Cricket Super League. She is an all-rounder, who is a right-hand bat and a right-arm seamer.

Nancy Harman: The 22-year-old is an English domestic cricketer who plays for Leicestershire and Lightning, having previously played for Sussex. She is a right-arm leg spinner and a right-hand bat.

Lucy Highman: The 23-year-old is an English domestic cricketer who currently plays for Nottinghamshire and Lightning. Prior to this, she represented Leicestershire, as well as Loughborough Lightning in the Women’s Cricket Super League. She is a right-arm-off spinner and a right-hand bat.

Sammy Jo-Johnson: The 28-year-old is an Australian domestic cricketer who currently plays for New South Wales Breakers in the WNCL and Sydney Thunder in the WBBL. She is a right-arm seamer and a right-hand bat.

Michaela Kirk: The 22-year-old is an English domestic cricketer, born in South Africa. She plays for Nottinghamshire and Lightning. She is a right-hand bat, right-arm off-spinner, and can keep wickets occasionally. Having played for Northerns in South Africa between 2012 and 2020, in 2021 she moved to England with an ambition to play for the nation.

Alicia Presland: The 21-year-old is one of the youngest members of the squad. She is an all-rounder, who is a right-hand bat and a right-arm seamer. She plays for Lincolnshire and Lightning, having previously represented Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, and Northamptonshire.

Rachel Priest: The 36-year-old wicket-keeper and right-hand bat from New Zealand is a vastly experienced player having played 75 T20Is and scored 873 runs at a strike rate of 104.42. She has accounted for 72 dismissals behind the stumps.

Natalie Sciver: The 28-year-old English international cricketer is the number 1 T20I all-rounder in the world. She has represented the national side in 86 T20Is. She has scored 1668 runs at a strike rate of 113.70. She has picked up 70 wickets, including two four-wicket hauls in 78 innings.

Emily Windsor: The 23-year-old is an English domestic cricketer who plays for Hampshire and Southern Vipers. She is a right-hand bat and a right-arm seamer.
