Post a small struggle facing the Malaysian bowlers, the innings ended very early which marked quick falling of wickets later on.SR Magar once again snatched the match with a complete dominance with her bowling(3.3 overs ,11 runs,4 wickets).Nepal women did achieve the target comfortably but received a good competition from the opponent who tried to defend the score.Nepal Women hence ended up having a great win and a good going in the tournament.Nepal ended the match with a score of 62/4 in 16.2 overs.
2. Myanmar Women vs Indonesia Women – 9:30 (local time) at Asian Institute of Technology,Bangok
INDONESIA WOMEN WON BY 52 RUNS
Indonesia Women won the toss and elected to bat first. They were able to put up a considerable score of 102 at a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs for the Myanmar women to chase. This was still a good score and a favourable batting performance by them as compared to few other team performances uptill now.Myanmar Women on the other side tried their level best till the end of the innings but got all out 0n 50 in 19.1 overs. They weren’t able to manage and strategize the partnerships and so faced huge difficulties in maintaing a good run rate which would have given them a more competitive edge throughout .
3. Bhutan Women vs Hong kong Women – 13:30 (local time) at Terdthai Cricket Ground ,Bangkok
HONG KONG WOMEN WON BY 3 WICKETS
Bhutan Women won the toss and elected to bat first.Bhutan Women put up a score of 71/5 in 20 overs. The team had started off well with some hope for the viewers that the innings will end with a decent total, but as the match proceeded the fall of wickets, starting from the 4th wicket loss brought in some trouble for the team. This landed the team into some instability and the momentum which had just built up got disturbed. The team however tried their level best to pull up the score till the very end.Hong kong who were to chase quite an achievable target were given a good fight by the opponent ;Hong kong Women did got over with the chase on a fair note which went on till the 18th over and they had lost 7 wickets till then.D Wangmo and T Zangmo from the Bhutan Women did extremely well with the ball and played a very crucial role in taking the match to a competitive end. This match could have had a nail biting finish but certainly was among the matches with the closest chances of any team turning the tables!
4. UAE Women vs China Women – 13:30 (local time) at Asian Institute of Technology Ground,Bangkok
UAE WOMEN WON BY 189 RUNS
UAE Women won the toss and elected to bat first. This match was just an awesome one! This was not just a win for them ,but was really an exceptional one.UAE Women on the batting side put up a massive score of 203/3 in 20 overs which is till now the highest one since the inception of this tournament. The batting performance was simply an outstanding one with the highest scorer being ER Oza who scored 82 runs from 62 balls. On the whole, batting partnerships worked out really well and there was a good contribution from the other players with the bat too!It was really a tough task for the China Women to deal with the bowlers of UAE Women when they were already having a big chase.China Women were really troubled by the UAE bowlers which lead their team being all out on just 14 runs in total in 10 overs.UAE bowlers simply had a cake walk and the statistics prove the same – Chaya Mughal – 4 overs,4 runs,3 wickets;N D’souza – 4 overs,8 runs,2 wickets;IS Mananelage – 1 over,0 runs,3 wickets.
