Esha Rohit Oza, born in Mumbai, India, is a prominent cricketer representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national team. Making her debut in 2018 against the Netherlands in T20Is, she quickly rose to prominence, eventually becoming the team’s captain. Oza has achieved several milestones in her career, including holding the record for the highest score by a UAE international in limited overs cricket and being the second fastest player to reach 1,000 T20I runs. She was awarded the ICC Women’s Associate Player of the Year in 2022. Currently pursuing Business Management at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, she continues to excel both on and off the field.

During her breakthrough season in the 2018 ECB Women’s National T20 League, Esha Oza earned recognition as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) by topping the charts as both the highest run-scorer and the joint-highest wicket-taker, all while achieving her maiden century. Notably, she was the only Emirati player selected for the ICC Women’s Global Development Squad in 2018, which toured England to compete against KIA Super League clubs.

Esha in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024, was the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 249 runs in six matches for which she was awarded the Player of the Tournament title acknowledging her exceptional display throughout the competition.

In T20Is, she has accumulated 1885 runs in 72 innings with an unbeaten 158 as her highest score against Bahrain in the year 2022. She has scored three centuries and seven half-centuries with a 111.01 strike rate and 29.92 average. She is also noteworthy for being the only player to have not been dismissed for zero since her international debut. On the other hand, she has claimed 50 wickets in 57 innings with an economy of 4.62 and best bowling figure of 3 wickets against no runs.
